From Dream to Chill Surfer
Chill Surfer was born from Jawad’s dream to create a hostel filled with love, quality, and authentic experiences.Together with his childhood friend Soufyane, he welcomes you to discover the real Morocco — from the ocean to the mountains.

Jawad is one of the founders and owners of ChillSurfer Hostel, and the energy behind many of the good vibes here. He was born in Ouirgane, a small village in the Atlas Mountains, and grew up in Agadir. He’s worked in different hostels and surf camps, bringing a lot of experience to the table, and today he’s not only managing things but also your surf teacher and trip guide.
Surfing is his biggest passion, but he’s also a BMX rider, and not just for fun: Jawad was a multiple-time Moroccan BMX champion and has won several competitions. Pretty cool, right?
But that’s not all, Jawad also loves to cook. At the hostel, he makes sure guests get delicious food and enjoy group dinners together. Beyond the hostel walls, he’s passionate about guiding guests and showing them Morocco with a different eye, not just through the lens of a tourist. With him, you’ll experience the country’s culture, hidden spots, and everyday life in an authentic way.
Around the hostel, you’ll quickly notice his sense of humor, his local knowledge, and his easygoing style. Whether you need tips for your trip, want to discover Morocco beyond the tourist path, or just share a laugh after a surf session, Jawad’s always there to help and make sure you feel at home.
Mouad is the cook at ChillSurfer Hostel, the one who fills the place with the smell of good food and the sound of music. He prepares tasty breakfasts and dinners, makes sure there’s always tea and coffee ready, and brings people together around the table.
When night falls, Mouad is often found on the rooftop by the fire, playing guitar or guembri and creating the kind of atmosphere that makes guests feel like family. His music and energy turn every evening into something special a mix of chill, laughter, and Moroccan rhythm under the stars.
His passions are backpacking, cooking, and playing instruments, and he brings all of that into the hostel life. With Mouad, guests don’t just eat and sleep, they share moments, stories, and memories that last long after the trip ends.
Soufyane is one of the founders and owners of ChillSurfer Hostel. Born and raised in Agadir, the ocean has always been part of his life. A few years ago he moved to Kiel, Germany, where he studied at the University of Applied Sciences. Today he splits his time between Morocco and Germany, combining the best of both worlds.
At ChillSurfer, Soufyane is the one who makes sure everything runs smoothly behind the scenes. He manages our online presence, takes care of the booking platforms, and ensures that travelers from all over the world can easily find their way to Tamraght and join the ChillSurfer family.
But Soufyane isn’t just the “online guy.” When he’s at the hostel, he’s right there with the guests cooking up group dinners, sharing stories, guiding you around Agadir, or joining in for surf sessions. His goal is simple: to make every guest feel at home, connected, and part of the ChillSurfer community.
Outside of work, you’ll often find him skateboarding, surfing, jogging along the beach, or traveling to new places. For Soufyane, life is all about movement, good energy, and people and that’s the spirit he brings into ChillSurfer every day.
Mohamed is the driver at ChillSurfer Hostel, the one who takes you everywhere you need to go, from surf lessons to day trips around Morocco. Always smiling and full of energy, he makes sure the journey is just as fun as the destination.
But Mohamed does more than just drive. He’s the guy who creates atmosphere on the road and after surf sessions. With his famous Moroccan tea and snacks, he brings people together to chill and recharge. And when you’re out in the waves or exploring on a trip, he’s often behind the camera, catching those special moments so you can take the memories home with you.
Funny, easygoing, and always ready with a story, Mohamed turns every ride, every surf lesson, and every trip into part of the adventure. With him, you don’t just travel from A to B, you get the full Moroccan experience along the way
